Outdoor Classroom Day
Excellent Easter Extravaganza!
Congratulations to the winners of the Friends of Biddick raffle, Name the Bear and our Easter Egg and Easter bonnet competitions. It was so difficult to choose the winners as there were some “eggcellent” entries!
Biddick’s Amazing Art Gallery
Our school hall was transformed into an art gallery showcasing framed pieces of our pupil’s art work. The children made artwork inspired by Yayoi Kusama. Our parents were invited to browse and purchase the artwork during the exhibition.
Mother’s Day Gifts
Our Friends of Biddick organised an opportunity for our pupils to choose and gift wrap a present to give to their important grown-ups for Mother’s Day. A huge thank you to our Y6 prefects who helped run the stalls!
British Science Week
The theme of British Science Week was “connections” so Mrs Fowler led our assembly, “Have a think, what’s the link?”. Each class then studied a Scientist who had made a discovery which has impacted our lives today by “connecting” things together.
Superstars on Display!
Our super Stars of the Week are now displayed in our school hall each week. The children take great pride in seeing their photographs on the wall each week!
Perfect Poetry
As part of Art week, each class created wonderful poetry. Eric from Butterfly class designed a brilliant cover for our school poetry book and won a prize in assembly.
A Rocksteady Performance
Rocksteady visited us for an amazing assembly. The children loved rocking along to “Eye of the Tiger”, what a great way to start our day!
Spot-tacular Art
During Art week, KS1 were inspired by The Dot by Peter Reynolds and by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama who is sometimes called the “princess of polkadots”.
