At Biddick Primary, we recognise the importance of teaching a foreign language to foster pupils’ curiosity, appreciate other cultures and deepen their understanding of the world.
We recognise that language teaching encourages pupils to appreciate and celebrate difference and provides the foundation for learning further languages. Our chosen language is French and our children in Key Stage 2 follow a curriculum which is based around the three pillars of phonics, vocabulary and grammar and meets all key National Curriculum objectives.
