To promote a life-long, positive and healthy relationship with sport and fitness!

PE is an integral part of your child’s development and we truly believe that sport and active development leads to a better quality of life, whilst building the fundamentals of social interaction, communication and overall maturity. Our intent, in lessons and in life, is to promote a life-long, positive and healthy relationship with sport and fitness; both physical and mental. We aim to provide our sporting ethos through a skills-based curriculum that allows young sportsmen and sportswomen to explore, apply and use a wide range of transferable skills, such as physical literacy, teamwork and communication, to take into a diverse set of sports.

At Biddick, we develop the six areas of activity as set out in the National Curriculum – Dance; Games; Gymnastics; Athletics; Outdoor and Adventurous activities; Swimming.  Our teachers ensure that the highest standard of P.E. is provided for our children whilst continuing their professional development through a REALPE curriculum as well as implementing the latest PE and sports teaching.

Here at Biddick, we love your budding athletes to strive in rich, exciting and safe PE lessons that provide them with the skills to thrive in sport and physical activity.  The sports that we teach include; football, tag rugby, hockey, netball, basketball, kwik-cricket, short tennis as well as athletics. We are passionate about introducing as many children to as many sports as possible as there is always a sport for everyone!

Throughout the school year, all pupils take part in a range of inter and extra-curricular activities, festivals and tournaments between year groups as well as against other schools. We really want all of our children to thrive in PE and sport and we love to see happy, healthy and enthusiastic athletes in our school.
