Computing
'A computer would deserve to be called intelligent if it could deceive a human into believing that it was human.' Alan Turing
At Biddick Primary School, we aim to develop children’s computing skills to enable them to be active participants in our modern, digital world. Technology is everywhere and will play a fundamental part in students’ lives so we aim to deliver a curriculum that is creative and creates a love of computing.
The Computing Curriculum 2014 provides opportunities for all pupils to understand and apply the most important principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation whilst keeping themselves and others safe online. Children are given the necessary skills to break down a problem, predict what will happen and use logic to find a solution through practical experience.
